About Nancy Howden

Nancy graduated from the University of Toronto in 1993, and from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy where she specialized in Sports Massage Therapy and received two Outstanding Achievement awards for her academic and clinical work. Nancy then completed the five-year post-graduate Osteopathy program and received her Diploma in Osteopathy from the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO).

Nancy’s primary focus is on the assessment of soft tissue and joints, with a special interest in massage and osteopathic techniques for athletes, urban professionals, and anyone seeking a more targeted approach to efficiently and effectively assess and resolve the root causes of stubborn issues – in muscle, joint, visceral, organ, or neural tissue – in any or all of the 11 systems in the body.

Nancy’s training in both Massage Therapy and Osteopathy offers people of all ages a combined approach that is often necessary in the accurate assessment and treatment of injury. A former soccer MVP, team captain and Female Athlete of the Year at New College, University of Toronto (1991), Nancy is today an active runner, cyclist, skier, trail hiker and yoga practitioner – all providing Nancy with an intimate knowledge of the physical and mental challenges in overcoming injury, as well as in how to help her clients maintain optimal vitality.
